Helmet,

Did you ever obtain information leading to a purchase?  If so, what did you acquire and how is it working?  Can you post a few photos illustrating how well it does on protoconchs?
Hallo Marlo,
Not so long ago, i bought one of this D.-M. I decided for a middle-class-price ( 80 € ). I've taken till now around 30 pics and I am not very enthusiastic, maybe needs more experience.
The "A-Roller" (to adjust the focus ) is not smooth, so everytime you touch it, the whole piece moves, because of its light weight.
It takes time to have a sharp image. You can not compare with a prof. camera. ( lol ..not the same price ).
Tell me if u want more info.
Send this pics in hurry.

click on pic.
I tried a digital microscope ($1,600) a few years back with no luck - poor color quality and resolution.  Being able to see the image on a computer screen was great, but even with technical support from manufaturer could never achieve publishable picture quality.

I was hoping you'd had more success.
