I have one more item I am not sure of.  I realize this is not a shell but figured beach combers might know what this is.  I believe it is a bone and it could just be a random bone or even part of chicken wing but figured I would see if anyone new anything about it.  I does not appear to be broken.

This is a fish vertebra, with the dorsal and ventral spines attached. (also called neural and hemal spines)
