Full Version: How to preserved chiton??

You put the chiton on a small plastic or glass plate and perhaps sprinkle it with seawater.  You wait until the chiton is flat on the plate and then take some cotton thread to wind round it so that the chiton does not curl up.  You make solution of 1/3 isopropanol, 1/3 distiled water and 1/3 glycerine (ask your pharmasist) and put the chiton and plastic in there.  You leave it in the solution for ca 3 weeks (depending on the largeness of the chiton).  Then take it out, remove the cotton and plastic.  Then let the chiton dry.
