This is a species that it is getting scarce nowadays, namely over 50 mm specimens. Usualy when they reach these sizes they usualy present several defects, such as erosion, bore holes and missing spines.

In recent years, the largest specimens i have seen on the market, were near 60 mm.

I do not belive in the W.R.S. , because it is efemerous, and the largest does not meen better.

This Homalocantha oxyacantha that i have in my colection, was just lucky deal that i had, and i am sure that it is a very special one. It is 95% perfect ; every spine are present, and it is really impressive at hand.

It was caught 2 years ago at Cocos Islands, in 20 meters depth  (dredge).

Since i feel like it is something unusual , i am pleased to provide its pictures for every one that is interested in.

It is not for sell or trade, since it would be impossible to get another as this.

Kind regards
