Okay, I'm new at this and I need some ideas of places I can look in Indian River County, Florida. So if anyone has advice or a good place, let me know!!  <img src="images/smiley/up.gif" alt="" border="0" />  <img src="images/icones/icon15.gif" alt="images/icones/icon15.gif" style="border:0" />  <img src="images/icones/icon17.gif" alt="images/icones/icon17.gif" style="border:0" />  <img src="images/icones/icon17.gif" alt="images/icones/icon17.gif" style="border:0" />  <img src="images/icones/icon17.gif" alt="images/icones/icon17.gif" style="border:0" />  <img src="images/icones/icon17.gif" alt="images/icones/icon17.gif" style="border:0" />  <img src="images/icones/icon17.gif" alt="images/icones/icon17.gif" style="border:0" />   <img src="images/smiley/up.gif" alt="" border="0" />   <img src="images/smiley/up.gif" alt="" border="0" />   <img src="images/smiley/up.gif" alt="" border="0" />   <img src="images/smiley/up.gif" alt="" border="0" />   <img src="images/smiley/up.gif" alt="" border="0" />
If you live in Florida, then Sanibel is the best place to start! It is rivaled the best place to beach-collect shells, especially after storms. Maybe since you live on the other side of the state, you can plan an excursion when you have a day or two of free time...
Also, check out the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum while you're there. It's great help for tourists & beginner shell collectors.
Hi temari,

I'm in Brevard County.  Consider joining the Astronaut Trail Shell Club.  Meets in Meblourne Beach.  Go here for link: <a href="http://z14.invisionfree.com/Conchologist_Forum/index.php?showtopic=1423" target="_blank"><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://z14.invisionfree.com/Conchologist_Forum/index.php?showtopic=1423">http://z14.invisionfree.com/Conchologis ... topic=1423</a><!-- m --></a>

If you collect in the Indian River Lagoon, you'll find Let's Talk Seashells helpful.  Go to portal page of above link.:  <span class="petit">--Last edited by marlo on 2010-07-20 18:53:07 --</span>
